We begin by providing a free consultation. This consultation can be done over the phone, at the hospital/assisted living/nursing home or at the client's home. During this consultation we, along with family and or other concerned parties, help determine your individual needs and create a plan to meet them.
Our goal is to provide the assistance needed for our clients to remain as safe, healthy and happy as possible in the place they call home.
Home by Choice offers a variety of services including Personal Care (Hands on), Sitter/Companion services, and Respite/Short Term/Post-Surgical care. Our caregivers respect our client's privacy and dignity while providing the assistance they need. We are people helping people, we love what we do and it shows. With the assistance of Home by Choice services our clients maintain independence with the peace of mind from knowing that help is there when they need it.
Our agency is state licensed to provide Personal Care to our clients through our directly employed and supervised caregivers. Home by Choice's owners personally interviews all caregivers, and supervises them to ensure they understand the care your loved one needs.
Sitter/Companion services are provided if the client does not require hands on assistance. An example of a sitter/companion client would be someone who needs medication reminders, meal preparation, transportation to appointments/shopping, light housekeeping and may want to shower while there is a caregiver in the home.
Respite/Short Term Care/Post-Surgical Care
Home by Choice is happy to rise to the occasion for short-term care situations. Maybe the primary caregiver needs to travel, or perhaps just needs some extra help while their loved one recovers after a hospital stay, contact us and we can arrange a temporary schedule of care for your loved one. Many of our post-surgical clients have said that our caregivers were a great help during their recovery.
Veterans and Widowed Spouses Benefits
The Veterans Administration offers Aid and Attendance as part of an "Improved Pension" Benefit that is largely unknown. This Improved Pension allows for Veterans and surviving spouses who require the regular attendance of another person to assist in eating, bathing, dressing, undressing, medication dosing, or taking care of the needs of nature to receive additional monetary benefits.
